Utah Child Care Licensing
Phased Health and Safety Protocols
On March 25 2020, the Utah Child Care Licensing (CCL) program instituted health and safety protocols that apply to all child care providers to reduce the transmission of COVID-19.All providers are to follow the health and safety protocols in order to operate a child care program in Utah during the pandemic.
The original protocols were titled Phase 1 to operate during Utah's Red Risk period. Phase 2 was implemented on April 29 2020, to coincide with movement to Orange Risk Level. on May 28, 2020, Phase 3 was implemented. However, Salt Lake City and the University of Utah still operate in the Orange Risk Level, therefore all University programs continue to operate at Phase 2.
