Other Child and adult care Services

​​​Care about Childcare is a State of Utah website that provides families with profiles and quality ratings for child care providers in Utah. Staff also assist wtih locating care. 

The Department of Workforce Services​ provides resources for child care, child development, school readiness, educational guides, and more. 

Care.com is a non-university, care-giver matching service. For a small registration fee, you can search for household support providers (child and elder care, pet care, etc.), see their profile, and find options that suit your unique needs.

Canny Kids​ provides drop-off subscription babysitting for up to 5 hours per day. This service is offered from 9am to 6pm, and costs $8 an hour for children 2+ and $11 an hour for children 12-14 months. 

Utah After School Network​ is a database that will help you find after-school and summer programs running throughout the state of Utah.

The state's Office of Child Care has compiled a list of individuals​ who have completed and passed a background check, have training in early childhood care and education, and are available to provide child care in the homes of essential employees (a Gmail account is required to access the spreadsheet). Essential employees will need to negotiate private arrangements, contracts, and compensation if they hire a caregiver to work in their home.
